Julian La Picque has been named Chiliz’s new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Chiliz is the world’s top blockchain service provider for the sports sector. The hiring of La Picque coincides with the company’s plans for rapid expansion when Chiliz Chain 2.0 (CC2), a new layer one blockchain for the sports and entertainment sector, launches in Q4. Chiliz Appoints New CFO Previously, Julian La Picque was CFO at blockchain platform Covantis. He co-founded the blockchain consulting firm Uncrypted in Geneva, where he provided traditional businesses with advice on how the technology may optimize their business processes. Chiliz will benefit substantially from La Picque’s experience as it builds gamified, Web3-compatible rewards communities on Socios.com for the world’s largest sporting properties and prepares to launch the mainnet of CC2.
