A Louisiana House bill calling for a probe into crypto political contributions was introduced earlier last week. According to the bill’s wording (HR 180), the Supervisory Committee on Campaign Finance Disclosure will investigate “problems surrounding the acceptance of campaign contributions in the form of crypto.” According to the present draught, a committee may take bitcoin as a campaign donation but must declare it as an in-kind contribution, according to a Federal Election Commission opinion.
