Temple DAO Users To Receive Compensation Following $2.3 Million Hack

According to statistics from Etherscan, Temple DAO, a system that asserts it offers sustainable revenue through staking, had a destructive exploit on one of its staking vaults for 1,830 ETH, or around $2.3 million at the moment. A volunteer claimed on the Temple DAO Discord channel that the project’s CORE vaults, which contain more than $100 million in stablecoins, are untouched, preventing further damage. The contributor stated that all impacted users would receive remediation. According to Etherscan data, on October 11, a withdrawal from the project’s STAX staking vault occurred. A statement issued on the Temple DAO Discord stated that the withdrawal was exactly 1,418,303 TEMPLE and 1,362,438 FRAX. The numerous code attacks in the last year have raised concerns about smart contracts and cross-chain bridge issues. The Temple DAO Exploit According to a tweet from Blockchain security company Paladin the Temple DAO attack is linked to a non-bridge-related smart contract vulnerability. Due to various malpractices in one of the staking mechanisms, users can transfer staked tokens from an earlier contract because of this attack.
