The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a limited objection to cryptocurrency exchange Binance.US's proposed deal to buy about $1B of troubled crypto lender Voyager Digital's ( OTCPK:VYGVQ ) assets, according to a recent bankruptcy filing . Binance.US's disclosure statement failed to include adequate information, the securities regulator pointed out. Specifically, the purchase agreement lacks details on how Binance.US can "consummate a transaction of this magnitude," the filing said. In December, Binance.US, the American division of crypto exchange Binance, won the bidding war for Voyager Digital's ( OTCPK:VYGVQ ) assets after the latter filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July due to liquidity issues that forced it to suspend deposits and withdrawals. In the objection, the SEC said it expressed its concerns to Voyager's ( OTCPK:VYGVQ ) lawyers and has been advised that a revised disclosure statement will be filed before the next hearing on the motions. Previously, (Nov. 11, 2022) Voyager Digital reopened bidding after crypto exchange FTX ( FTT-USD ) filed for bankruptcy .
