Investment advisor and manager Wilshire has formed a new alliance with cryptocurrency trading platform FalconX to provide big-money investors access to the digital asset derivatives market, according to a release dated Tuesday. The companies will collaborate to develop a range of single-coin, multi-coin and thematic indexes for institutional investors, Wilshire said. Since its first foray into the industry in 2020, Wilshire, which has $79B in assets under management and serves over 500 institutional and financial intermediary clients, has rolled out more than 70 digital asset indexes that classify over 1,300 digital assets. FalconX, which chose Wilshire to be its preferred digital assets index provider, enables institutions to access and manage all of their crypto strategies through a single interface in an effort to streamline the execution of trading and clearing. In November 2022, FalconX said it will resume using crypto-focused bank Silvergate Capital's ( SI ) payments system following an outage that impacted the network.
