Coinbase takes on Goldman veteran to run global financial operations

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) on Friday hired ex-Goldman Managing Director Roger Bartlett to run global financial operations. "After 16 years at Goldman Sachs its time to embrace the cryptoeconomy," Bartlett wrote in a LinkedIn post. Prior to joining COIN, Bartlett led a team of ~2.5K as global co-head of operations for Goldman's global markets division. The move comes as Coinbase deploys capital to a variety of initiatives to expand its global footprint.
