Payments giant Mastercard has applied for at least 15 NFT and metaverse-related trademarks, according to data from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). With the latest filing, the firm now joins a growing list of financial firms looking to enter the rapidly-growing metaverse market. Mastercard Jumps on the Metaverse Wave According to trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis, Mastercard filed 15 trademark applications to register Mastercard, its “Circles” logo, and the “Priceless” slogan.
