The gaming studio has also shifted towards mobile gaming with Gear.Club and F1 Mobile Racing. Previously owned by Atari, the gaming studio was temporarily closed in 2013, however, Animoca acquired the studio for $16 million. Animoca Brand’s Strategy After the acquisition of game developer Grease Monkey in February, this will be Animoca Brands’ second acquisition since the beginning of the year. The objective behind the acquisition of the French studio is its experience to construct a play-to-earn REVV Motorsport game.
