Paris-based blockchain gaming studio Cometh has announced a $10 million seed round along with the release of its second video game ‘Cometh Battle’. The platform allows users to own yield-generating NFTs, integrating both DeFi and NFT features into a single gaming experience. White Star, Ubisoft, Stake Capital Led the Investment Cometh’s $10 million seed round was led by venture capital firm White Star Capital, gaming giant Ubisoft and DeFi group Stake Capital. Other firms to participate in the round included Serena Capital, Shima Capital and IDEO Colab Ventures. The valuation of the company post the fresh fundings, however, were not disclosed. “Gaming is entering a new era of mass connectivity and digital ownership of playable assets. Our team builds games that explore the new possibilities offered by blockchain technology along with the tools to enhance traditional games with it,” Cometh’s founder Jerome de Tychey said in the release. Release of Second Video Game Along with the funding round, the blockchain gaming studio has also announced the release of its second title, Cometh Battle. Its first game was built on the Polygon blockchain and has already amassed over 10,000 players. Cometh is one of the rapidly growing gaming startups based on blockchain technology.
