Bitstamp, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe, has now added the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency to its trading platform. The Shiba Inu community has been kept in suspense for quite some time, but the cryptocurrency exchange finally made the announcement that users would soon be able to purchase and sell the meme coin on its platform. What Does This Mean for Shiba Inu? Bitstamp’s support is great news for the Shiba Inu community. Being the largest exchange in Europe, the listing will bring Shiba Inu closer to its 4 million customers who will now be able to trade the meme coin against the U.S. dollar and the euro. In December of last year, the company made the initial announcement that it would be listing on SHIB. Unfortunately, the listing was put on hold indefinitely (until now) because the company’s technical team encountered challenges that had not been anticipated. How Will the Listing Work? According to a statement that was made on Bitstamp’s blog, market orders and card purchases for the new trading pairs will not be permitted until there is sufficient liquidity on the exchange. However, transfers will commence today, which is Monday, June 6, 2022. From 11:00 AM UTC, users will be allowed to place limit orders beginning on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
