According to the Wharton School, a high-profile business school out of the University of Pennsylvania, a new course on conducting business in the metaverse has been introduced. The “Business in the Metaverse Economy” online program teaches students about metaverse business procedures while providing participants with hands-on interactive experiences in virtual worlds. As stated in a press release from the program’s academic director Kevin Werbach, the program aims to give business professionals a better grasp of opportunities in the growing metaverse economy and better skills to handle problems there. American Colleges Adopted Web3 Technology Other prestigious American colleges have adopted Web3 technology as teaching aids, including Stanford University and Duke University courses, which offer completion certificates as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). However, the new curriculum at Wharton is among the first to integrate the metaverse as business potential. The metaverse business course was created by Wharton and Prysm Group, a business consultancy organization. The six-week asynchronous program contains over 50 lecture videos, with guest speakers from Adobe, Animoca Brands, Second Life, Unity, and more.
