Michael Saylor, the founder of business analytics software provider and bitcoin (BTC-USD) HODLer MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR), has left his role as CEO on Tuesday after setting up the company in 1989.MSTR stock is dipping around 3% in afterhours trading, as the company released another quarter of downbeat earnings.Saylor, who is being succeeded by MicroStrategy’s (MSTR) president Phong Le, will assume his new role as executive chairman and remain the chairman of the board of directors and an executive officer of the company.Le will also serve as the company’s new CEO as well as a member of the board.Under his new role, Saylor will focus mostly on innovation and long-term corporate strategy, while continuing to provide oversight of the MicroStrategy's (MSTR) bitcoin (BTC-USD) acquisition strategy as head of the board’s Investments Committee.Last year, Michael Saylor said bitcoin will be a $100T asset class that everybody needs.
