Sam Trabucco, the co-CEO of Sam Bankman-Fried-founded cryptocurrency trading company Alameda Research, has resigned from his role and will stay on as an advisor, his wrote in a series of Twitter posts Wednesday.Alameda's co-CEO Caroline Ellison, meanwhile, will remain as the firm's sole CEO, Trabucco, who joined the company in 2019, noted.Trabucco said he has "significantly reduced" his role at Alameda, which is known as an active investor in crypto-focused startups, and he will not have a strong day-to-day presence there.Billionaire investor Bankman-Fried, the CEO of crypto exchange FTX, co-founded Alameda in 2017 and was initially CEO until he left that role in October.Previously, (June 24) Alameda Research reportedly took a $35M stake in struggling crypto broker Voyager Digital.
