In South Australia, a Bitcoin (BTC) mining facility driven by solar energy has started up, becoming the first of its sort in the area. According to a report from ABC News Australia on September 16, the facility run by Lumos Digital Mining supplies roughly five megawatts of electricity for the activity to reduce Bitcoin’s carbon footprint.
