Elrond, a scalable blockchain, will soon be included by Opera in its cryptocurrency browser, enabling users to access the network through the integrated Opera Wallet. Since 2018, Opera, one of the first online browsers, has been developing crypto-related technologies. In January, it made a beta version of its specialized “Crypto Browser Project.” Scalable Blockchain Elrond Integration In March, the Norwegian browser provider enabled support for eight additional blockchains, including Solana and Polygon, in its in-browser cryptocurrency wallet. The third generation of Internet services, or Web3, powered by blockchain, is expected to take off, according to Opera and other browsers emphasizing cryptocurrencies, such as Brave. Users will find it simpler to interact with decentralized finance (DeFi) and different on-chain ecosystems due to the improved Web3 interoperability.
